Free Lead Removal Program
About 270,000 children in Houston live in homes that have lead paint. Lead poisoning can have a severe impact on children, causing brain development problems and, in the worst cases, death.
If you suspect you have lead paint in your home, the City of Houston can help identify, remove or stabilize lead paint at no cost to qualifying households.
Visit Houston Health Department - Bureau of Community and Children's Environmental Health (houstontx.gov) for more information. Call 832-393-5141 to apply.
Take quick survey in English or Espanol.
You can print and mail to the City or to fifthwardblockcaptains@gmail.com.

Harris County Pollution Control Services (PCS) is developing a plan that sets priorities for environmental quality decisions to ensure Harris County is a thriving, sustainable community for all other counties to follow for future generations. Community Engagement will be the cornerstone of our plan. We are looking forward to having positive conversations with Harris County residents about how we can all work together to create a better future.
Harris County Pollution Control is conducting research on your concern for pollution in your community. The survey should take approximately 20 minutes.
